I've set this page up so that students from CSU ETL 501 course can look at and experiment with a wiki page.
Getting Started
You need to join this wiki to do any editing or start your new page. Do this using the white Join link at the very top RHS.
Select Edit at the top RHS of the white working space to add to this page or Select New Page from the left had sidebar to start a page of your own at this site. This new page will have a navigation link on home page based on the title that you give it. A tag is a keyword identifier that search engines use.
You can edit text using the toolbar at the top of the page, just as in Word.
Link creates an internet link to another site.
File allows you to upload images or text files, sound or animation. You need to have these preselected and available on your desktop or ready to type in the url address. Click on file, then upload link and a selection box opens. Select the file. It appears in the dialogue box. Click on the file name and it puts the image on the page. Another box pops up asking if you'd like to align the picture. left, centre or right.
Widgets are more advanced tools for layout or resources. Click on the widget link at the top to see what these are.
Click on Save in the toolbar and the edits are changed.
Once out of the Edit phase (indicated by the faded background) you can select
Manage Wiki and select different formats and colours.
